The Royal National Capital Agricultural Society (RNCAS) has selected Edentiti's MEIMA to provide an online membership subscription and exhibitor entry facility for the 2008 Royal Canberra Show.
By utilising Edentiti's innovative MEIMA online entry facility RNCAS staff have been able to vastly reduce the time consuming tasks associated with manually processing traditional entries that are filled in by hand and arrive by post.
Previously the majority of RNCAS exhibitors downloaded their membership and entry forms from the RNCAS website, filled in the forms by hand and posted them back to the RNCAS office with either a cheque or credit card details attached.
When the completed paper entry form arrived at the RNCAS office it had to be processed manually. This involved the time consuming tasks of data entry, credit card/cheque processing and posting out a receipt.
Often, with hand written entries, RNCAS officials had to deal with illegible handwriting and incorrectly calculated total fees leading to additional follow up by telephone.
With the Edentiti system all fees owing are automatically calculated and once an exhibitors pays by credit card online they automatically receive a receipt by email.
For the RNCAS to use the Edentiti system they simply provided copies of their relevant paper entry forms. Once the system was developed the RNCAS added an online entry link on their website.
The Edentiti MEIMA was first used by the RNCAS for the 2007 Royal Canberra Show but this year Edentiti expanded their relations with with the show organisation by providing an online entry facility for the 2007 Vintage Cellars National Wine Show. This allowed wineries throughout Australia and New Zealand to enter with exhibitors in the National Wine Show online for the first time.
When Edentiti provides an online entry facility for an organisation such as the RNCAS Edentiti also provides an online help facility both during and after hours. This means that if an exhibitor needs help with their entry after they do not have to wait until the next day when the RNCAS office is open to receive assistance.
