Federated Services

federation1.jpg
Edentiti Voice Verification uses the SAML standard for moving authentication information between applications. This is part of what is often called federated identity services and it enables organisations to exchange identity information.

Conceptually Edentiti Voice Verification enables an individual to be part of a federated identity service in their own right. This automatically overcomes many of the privacy issues associated with the sharing of personal information across organisations as all information is ALWAYS transferred via the individual concerned. This means that the individual gives consent and the individual always knows what and when any transfer was made between organisations.

A complete record of information transferred is kept for the individual and they can access or inspect it whenever they wish.

For organisations it solves many privacy issues and it also provides an avenue where they can sell information about people to other organisations but with the full knowledge and consent of the individual concerned. In some instances organisations selling information about a person may choose to share the income with the individual. In those cases Edentiti can assist with Edentiti Rewards Systems.

Organisations who have information about individuals and that they allow the individual to access through Edentiti systems can choose whether they are willing to allow the individual to share the information with other organisations. Sometimes an organisation is willing to allow the sharing of data with selected partners but for other organisations to be blocked.

This sharing of information is a critical part of identification. Edentiti voice verification attaches a person to some information. The information about the person is held with different organisations and enables the individual to prove claims about themselves such as

  • I hold a valid uptodate driver's license
  • I am registered to vote
  • I have a degree from a particular University
  • I worked for twenty years with a particular organisation
  • I have five children and their names are ....
  • I have money in the bank that can be used to pay a bill
